Bio
My name is Kelly Phillips, and I feel truly blessed to serve as the kindergarten teacher at Punxsutawney Christian School. Being born and raised in this area makes this role especially meaningful to me, because this community has always been home. It is such a gift to now invest in the lives of children and families in a place that means so much to my heart.
I have taught at PCS for the past two years, and before that I had the privilege of substituting and mentoring with Mrs. Mesanko. Through each of those experiences, I have come to see just how special PCS truly is. It is more than a school — it is a loving, faith-filled family where children are known, encouraged, prayed for, and guided in both faith and academics.
PCS is especially personal to me because I am not only a teacher here, but also a parent. I have two daughters who attend the school — a fifth grader who has been at PCS since preschool, and a current preschooler. Seeing the impact this school has had on my own children has made my love and appreciation for PCS even deeper.
I am passionate about creating a classroom where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. I believe every child is uniquely created by God with purpose and value, and I count it a true blessing to help students grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment.
It is an honor to serve at PCS and to be part of a community rooted in faith, love, and family.
